A set of 12 Chippendale design dining chairs C1890 by J&T Scott of Edinburgh. These chairs have the unusual feature of carved eagle heads to the splats and are of the highest quality throughout.

J &T Scott were cabinet makers and upholsterers who had premises at 10 George St Edinburgh from the middle of the 19th century. Throughout its years of manufacturing high quality furniture the company was held in high esteem by notable institutions and nobility.

They supplied furnishings for the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Scottish National Gallery and the meeting room of the Donaldson’s Hospital.
